All About Portland
I work with a lot of people new to the City, who aren't sure about where they want to end up. One of the best things about Portland is it's neighborhoods! There are over 500,000 people in Portland proper, and 2 million in the Metro area, but you can still live in a neighborhood where you invite the people next door to dinner, and share vacations with the folks across the street. Portland still has block parties every summer.

The questions BUYERS ask!

Portland Metro Association of Realtors has compiled a fantastic website for the most important question: are there programs that can help me purchase a home?

Which school will your child be attending?

Report cards for all Oregon schools

I can't give you my opinion on whether a neighborhood is "good" or "bad," but I can direct you to facts: PortlandMaps, one of the most useful tools out there. Crime stats, where your water and gas lines come in, elevation - you name it, it's probably here.

ZipSkinny can also give you good demographic info.

The City of Portland has a lot of different zoning laws due to the Urban Growth Boundary. If you want to run a business from your new home, check this out first.

What HOMEOWNERS need to know!

Something every homeowner asks eventually: Do I need a permit for that??

Fun things to do that don't cost much!

Actually, there's a lot going on at Pioneer Square, and most of it's free. There's a reason it's called Portland's Living Room.

If those movies don't look good....check out Portland Public Parks! Their website gives directions to each park, and even which buses you can take to get there.
